There's no such thing as too much Champagne. We proved this at our latest Champagne Campaign held between 6 importers and 3 venues. Here you'll get a glimpse of the quality brought to the table.
In this Box you will get:
Laherte Frères Petit Meslier NV
What's fascinating about this grape is that it's capable of preserving lightning acids even in higher temperatures. Beautiful pale yellow and tight bead with a complex nose of apple, quince, grapefruit, almond paste and roasted nuts. Gorgeous, complex palate incorporating dizzying intensity and crisp acidity. Steely, laser-precise finish. A stunning wine from a creative producer.
Lelarge-Pugeot Coteaux Champenois Blanc 2016
Still wine from Champagne made from 100% Chardonnay from 30-year-old vines. Matured for 12 months in a single barrel, out of which 300 bottles were produced. Soft and crisp. Lemon ginger tea, nectarine, green almond both on the palate and nose. Feels super easy to drink, a textural feast yet not overly done.
Bourgeois-Diaz BD'3C Trois Cépages Brut Nature NV
A blend of 40% Pinot Meunier, 40% Pinot Noir, and 20% Chardonnay. Very savoury, very soft and supple, lots of ripe lime, dried apple, sea spray, almonds and oatmeal. A high-toned saline note and attractive, zippy acidity. It’s a style that speaks to you, but it sits outside of the expected for many one could say. Loads of character in the refreshment department. A style that works well.
Guenin Liliale Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut NV
Aromatics of citrus pith and crushed rocks. Lemon with salty pear and apple, with a spicy anise wrapped around the fruit. This does add some texture, some flesh as it warms up yet the wine doesn't shed the structure and salty fruit that seems to be its personality right now. Give this a quick swirl in the decanter and it will offer so much more.
