The world has given us many dynamic duos, Batman & Robin, Sonny & Cher, the adding of Milo to milk...enter Yetti & The Kokonut. David Geyer and Koen Janssens met in 2015 and set forth to experiment with grapes in exciting new ways, think of it as drinking outside of the box. With their feet in the vineyards and their tongues in their cheek, a new breed of wines were created that unlike your sketchy friend, needed minimal intervention. These creations have finally escaped the laboratory and and are now available in Singapore!
Salsa Verde 2021
The Gemtree Vineyard in McLaren Vale is a special spot for Dave and Koen. Here, it’s not just about the grapes - they've got 300 acres filled with all sorts of plants and flowers, creating amazing biodiversity. They named this wine 'Salsa Verde' because Dave thought it was easier to write on the barrels than the grape's actual name, VDLHO.
Metro 2021
Metro is an absolute gem from Adelaide Hills. It's not your everyday white wine; it's made from 100% Savagnin grapes, a variety you'd usually find in France, but it's absolutely thriving in Australia. What's special about this wine is its lively acidity and the complex flavors it packs. Imagine the taste of green apples, a zest of lemon, and a hint of sea salt – a refreshing breeze in a glass.
Project Wine 2021
Koen describes Project Wine as the ideal wine for winter, yet many believe it suits any season perfectly. It presents itself with an explosion of a herbaceousness with subtle hints reminiscent of amaro. The palate is a delightful blend of smoothness and softness, characterized by lemon curd flavors that promise to brighten even the dullest days.
Hipster Juice 2.0 2021
The wine's name provides a straightforward insight. It's designed for the effortlessly cool crowd, not aiming to be a contemplative wine. Dave & Koen envisioned a blank white canvas, intending to have an experience with a diverse array of colors. Muscat, Verdejo, Cab Franc, Sémillon (of the red variety), and Sauvignon Blanc represent the vibrant palette.
