Kindeli Primavera Pet Nat 2022
This wine is made from a blend of Riesling, Pinot Gris, Viognier, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Noir. The reds were whole-cluster pressed and the whites were soaked on skins overnight. Soft and juicy, savoury-edged and dark fruited. Very frisky and bright with a good deal of crunch and good length. Fun, good deal of detail and generally just moreish fizzy red. Delicious!
Marto Riesling 2021
Elevage is in old barrels, foudres and Mosel casks. All work is done by hand, all the wines are unfiltered, unfined, and without any additions. Under German law, Martin is unable to put the village on the label, so the rock is a nod to Flonheim and its characteristic sandstone. This is a wild and bright Riesling bursting with citrus energy spun around a dense, dry, savory core - amazing tension.
Escoda Sanahuja Els Bassots 2021
This is 100% Chenin Blanc coming from high altitude vineyards once again. Aged 4 months in used French oak. Limey, saline, faint licks of cashew, some rosemary herbal elements and a slosh of green apple juice. Textural on the palate with brisk acidity and a delightful finish of saltiness. Quite juicy, with pleasing fruit character, good sense of zestiness and all up high on the drinkability scale.
Weingut Schmitt Riesling 2021
The scent of this Riesling reminds you of a great, high-quality, homemade muesli: freshly sliced apples and pears with their skins, cereals and oatmeal, full-fat whole milk and coconut flakes. We’re hungry. A bit of dried stone fruit too, but then citrus notes typical of Riesling freshen things up. It gets more exciting with air, so you don't have to smash it right away.
