Weingut Schmitt Riesling 2022
The perfume is all citrus skin and blossoms, gentle nuttiness, the flow is of purest lime juice. Represented by a family of strong citrus characters on the palate but not shy of some tropical undertones, kiwi, papaya, pineapple skin. It does one of the great wine ‘oxymoron tricks’, being firm in acidity and soft in texture at the same time. Magic.
Kindeli Blanco 2022
An equal blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling. This is stuff we'd replace our tap water with. Lots going on here. Savouriness, total fruity floral dive, a bit of the green tang. Many gears to change here. SUPER refreshing. Great texture, drive, energy. Feels a bit wild and unkempt in the best sense. A lot to sink one’s teeth into.
Alexandre Giquel Multitude 2022
This is a dry white wine with both texture and personality aplenty. It’s herbal, it’s smoky, it’s (burnt) buttery and it’s slipped with lemony, slatey, pear-like fruit. Superb texture with just a touch of residual sugar to add complexity. The acidity is well integrated and gives this wine such a great lift. A Chenin that can be drunk alone, but would also benefit from a solid food pairing.
Latta Fresca 2021
This vibrant and lively Sangiovese embodies the distinctive qualities associated with Latta: a delightful lightness, succulent juiciness, and an intensity of flavor taken to the highest level. Harvested from organically cultivated vineyards in Shay's Flat, the grapes were carefully picked at an early stage to enhance acidity and preserve the utmost freshness.
Domaine Grosbois Cuisine de ma Mere 2022
This 2022 vintage Chinon from Nicolas Grosbois has been dubbed ‘Cuisine de ma mere’, or ‘my mother’s kitchen’, as a reference to Nicolas’s childhood spent with his mother in the kitchen. This juicy, fruity red is made entirely from hand-picked Cabernet Franc grapes from 45 year old vines in the Chinon region in the Loire Valley.
Unico Zelo Tropo Big Red 2021
Big Red proudly showcases an abundant display of luscious blue fruit, elegantly balanced in this Syrah + Merlot blend. Delighting the senses, it presents a blast of herbal nuance and olive tapenade, a characteristic trait of this grape. Meticulously crafted, the tannins have been artfully restrained to maintain a refreshing cool climate profile.
