There's no such thing as too much Champagne. We proved this at our latest Champagne Campaign held between 6 importers and 3 venues. Here you'll get a glimpse of the quality brought to the table.
In this Box you will get:
Francis Boulard Les Murgiers Brut Nature NV
This is a blend of 50% Pinot Meunier, 31% Chardonnay and 19% Pinot Noir. Rich and bold with strong acidity amongst swirls of cinnamon, cinnamon scroll with icing sugar and toasted caramel nuts. Bitter lime acidity and a bit of white liquorice. Full-on, dialled-up, feels great with a strong chill. Get the oysters out!
Lelarge-Pugeot Tradition NV
This is a blend of 50% Pinot Meunier, 40% Pinot Noir, 10% Chardonnay. Coming from chalk & limestone soils tended organically and biodynamically. No dosage. Rich and savoury nose, full of apples and pears, with a hint of minerality. Striking acidity, soft bubbles. A fairly vinous style of Champagne.
Laherte Frères Ultradition NV
This is 60% Pinot Meunier, 30% Chardonnay, 10% Pinot Noir. A richer style of Champagne where the use of wood enhances the body and minimally influences the aromatics. On the nose beeswax, fermenting apples, citrus peel. Not really a terroir-driven Champagne, more of a very well-made one that will benefit a lot from aging. Great food wine as well.
Guenin Nature d'Argile Brut NV
This cuvée is a blanc de noirs, from Essoyes. The wine has matured for at least 30 months in the cellar. Green apple, lemon biscuits, almond, a subtle mint and green herb top note. It’s all citrus and white strawberry, quite saline, a dry crunch with some lemon zest, foamy bubbles, some brioche richness. Zesty finish of good length.
Bourgeois-Diaz BDB Brut Nature NV
The Blanc de Blancs is made with grapes from the extreme west of the appellation Nanteuil sur Marne, characterised by a chalky terroir that allows Chardonnay to express itself in an incredible manner. It ferments and matures partially in neutral wood, then stays on the lees for 24/30 months. Elegant and graceful, with a subtle acidity that makes every sip a joy. Playful and very persistent.
Bourgeois-Diaz BD'3C Brut Nature NV
A blend of 40% Pinot Meunier, 40% Pinot Noir, and 20% Chardonnay. Very savoury, very soft and supple, lots of ripe lime, dried apple, sea spray, almonds and oatmeal. A high-toned saline note and attractive, zippy acidity. It’s a style that speaks to you, but it sits outside of the expected for many one could say. Loads of character in the refreshment department. A style that works well.
