The Puzelats have been the epitome of natural winemaking since the early 1990s. Even though they're based in Cheverny, they classify their wines under the Vin de Pays classification, wanting to preserve outlawed grape varieties that they're proud of. The work of the Puzelats has inspired dozens of vignerons throughout the Loire to follow their path, giving rise to the region’s reputation. After an illustrious 40+ year career, Jean-Marie retired following the 2018 vintage. His brother Thierry is now fully at the helm of the estate, joined by his daughter Zöe.
