When Jasper met fellow Basket Ranger Anton van Klopper – natural wine trailblazer and the brains behind Lucy Margaux – he became interested in buying some grapes. After a brisk and enlightening education in natural wine, from growing to making, from Anton himself, Jasper Buttons began restoring his site and transitioning to organic and biodynamic principles, and decided that rather than sell off his prized grapes to others, he'd turn his hand to winemaking. This culminated in the birth of Commune of Buttons in 2014.
