Els Vinyerons is a joint venture between Amós Bañeres and Alex Ruiz in Penedès, Catalunya. Amós is a former pharmacist who grew tired of his occupation and started to make natural wine in 2011. He was joined by Alex, a winemaker who had been making Cava for his 100-year-old family winery and was yearning for a fresh challenge. The philosophy of their joint project is to offer minimal intervention wine that’s easy to understand, affordable, and introduces consumers to the wonderful expressions of the indigenous varieties from Penedès.
